"Greetings to all in the precious name of our saviour and Lord Jesus Christ."

With immense pleasure, the community of St Mary's Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Cathedral welcomes you all to our official website. We thank the almighty for choosing us to serve our flock in and around Bangalore for more than 35 years as a community in the intercession of Mother Mary. We recall the abundant blessings the community has received from our Lord for the past many years. Also, we remember how God has utilised the community to grow further in relationship, support and prayer. God has taught us how we can branch out to reach our people successfully. Over the years, we have witnessed a huge transformation in people, place, life, climate, and so on. One thing, however, remains unchanged - "The Love of God".

As we grow, we seek better facilities, better comforts and better education-everything that is 'better'. Our concern is a better spiritual life evolved through community and worship, as the future will be focused more on relationships. As 1: Cori 12:27 reminds us, "We are the organ of Christ's body (Church)", and we are committed to work together towards the great mission of the Church ("Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation" - Mark 16:15).

So, let us open not just the doors of our church every Sunday morning, but also the doors of our hearts to those around us, so that they may see the change in us brought about by the love of Jesus Christ being abundant in our lives. Let us continue our great mission through our spiritual services and pray to the almighty as Solomon did

"LORD my God, I am your servant. Listen to my prayer, and grant the requests I make to you today. Watch over this Temple day and night, this place where you have chosen to be worshiped. Hear me when I face this Temple and pray. Hear my prayers and the prayers of your people when they face this place and pray. In your home in heaven hear us and forgive us." -1 Kings 8:28-30
